Environmental Protection Officer REF: PPS023

£30,413.50 – £35,004.00 per annum

37 hours per week, permanent

The Job:

We are looking for a suitably qualified, enthusiastic and committed officer to join our Environmental Protection team. Duties will cover a full range of environmental protection services including; PPC inspections, contaminated land, air quality, statutory nuisance and public health investigations, planning and licensing consultations, drainage, and other general areas of environmental protection work.

The Person:

Ideally, we are looking for someone with experience of working within Environmental Protection, but if you have worked in other areas and have qualifications and experience which demonstrate enhancement and development of some of the specialist work areas or are a recent graduate in Environmental Health or a related science discipline, this could also be an opportunity.

A flexible approach is essential. You will be committed to teamwork and working with external organisations with a positive ‘can do’ approach to resolving problems and issues. The successful applicants must be self-motivated, self-disciplined and committed to delivering a customer orientated service.
