Job Details


Our client, based in East London are looking to appoint a Specialist Scientific Advisor to the Environmental Health (Environmental Protection) Division and to other Council Departments on matters related to air quality management and air pollution control. You will be expected to carry out air pollution investigation, monitoring control and enforcement. Check and maintain the Council's air pollution monitoring stations and equipment, carry out monitoring, collect data, interpret trends, using the Section's Geographical Information System and report on conclusions, particularly relating to transport, construction and any community problems.


In order to be considered, you must have experience of implementing Air Quality Strategies and investigation of pollution cases. At least 3 years' relevant post-qualification experience. Recognised Degree or Diploma in Environmental Health or equivalent and be a graduate or corporate member of CIEH or similar professional association.

This contract will run until the end of March 2020.
