ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH OFFICER/ FOOD SAFETY OFFICER X1 permanent

Location: The Magistrates Building, 1 Farnan Avenue, Waltham Forest Town Hall Complex, Forest Road, Walthamstow E17 4NX

Working Pattern: Full Time
Hours: 36 hours per week

We’re looking to recruit a permanent Environmental Health Officer or a Food Safety Officer to join our ambitious and progressive food and safety team.
The appointed officer will be a qualified and experienced post holder who holds a Higher Certificate in Food Premises Inspection or BSc or MSc in Environmental Health and EHRB registration qualification.
You will enjoy a range of duties, focusing on the inspection of food businesses in all risk categories, including a number of approved establishments, the participation in sampling programmes, as well as the completion of nationally and locally agreed targeted health and safety projects.
The successful candidate will display a commitment to strong enforcement actions using the full range of available powers. Displaying excellent verbal and written communication skills, and flexibility in working patterns and practices.
The appointed officer will ensure that all aspects of commerciality are fully integrated into their day to day role as a front-line field officer.
We are looking for a motivated and dedicated officer with a demonstrable commitment to top quality regulatory services.
