Based in Lowestoft or Melton but as part of the role you will travel throughout east Suffolk.

We are looking for Environmental Health Officers / Food and Safety Officers to join our Food and Safety Team.

Your role will be to deliver regulatory services in relation to occupational health and safety, food safety and hygiene, infectious disease control and skin piercing registration. You will also be a tutor for our food safety and occupational health and safety training course programme.

A detailed knowledge of legislation, codes of practice and associated guidance is essential as is the ability to use your initiative, to investigate, make sound judgements and take a range of risk-based proportionate interventions.

You must have a degree or equivalent qualification in Environmental Health and / or Higher Certificate in Food Premises Inspection and a Level 5 qualification in Health and Safety.
