Post No. PE1022 - Environmental Health Officer

An opportunity has a risen within the Noise & Neighbourhood Team; we are looking to recruit an Environmental Health Officer on a Permanent Part Time basis (22.12hrs/3 days per week).

The post holder will be part of the Noise & Neighbourhood team which is a busy frontline service. You will be required to investigate pollution, noise, Anti-social behaviour, waste, statutory nuisance and fly tipping incidents. Where necessary serve notices, schedules of work, section 61 consent and prepare statements and case files for prosecutions. You will be required to advise on planning and licensing consultations in respect of environmental health issues. This position also involves working with both internal and external stakeholders.

This post requires you to hold a relevant degree or diploma, experience in the subject area, demonstrate effective communication and negotiation skills; be able to use tact and diplomacy when dealing with people. You'll also have an ability to organise and prioritise work to meet deadlines.
