Food Safety Officer

Salary: £28,363 - £33,920 pro rata

Permanent: Part-Time

2 days a week

Thurrock Council are currently looking for an experienced Food Safety Officer to join the team 2 days per week on a permanent, part-time basis.

You should be an excellent communicator, with the ability to organise and prioritise your own workload, have good computer skills and be able to work as part of a team.

You must be committed to achieving and maintaining high standards of work within the Council.  You will need excellent verbal and written communication skills and may be requested to deliver group training/presentations.

You must have successfully completed The Higher Certificate in Food Control, certificate of registration or diploma issued by the Environmental Health Registration Board or equivalent.

The post includes food hygiene, food standards, food sampling, infectious disease control, and imported food work streams.
