About the role…

Publica is seeking to appoint an Officer to work within the Technical Pollution Services Team to provide cover for maternity leave. You will be taking responsibility for a varied caseload dealing with environmental problems and investigations, the regulation of private water supplies and planning and development consultations. You will be undertaking investigations and enforcement actions, including the service of notices and, where necessary, giving evidence in court. A good knowledge of relevant legislation and any associated codes of practice/guidance is required.

We are looking for applicants who can demonstrate an adaptable and flexible approach, a positive attitude and an ability to work on their own initiative.

We would welcome new graduates who are seeking to complete their professional qualification.

In particular you will need…

  • Relevant Degree or suitable experience
  • EHRB Registration Certificate is desirable but not essential
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Organised, self-motivated and an excellent team player
