Job reference REQ01401
Location: Riverside House, Rotherham, South Yorkshire
Salary £42,683 - £45,591
Permanent, 37 hours per week.
The role of Community Protection Manager is wide ranging and fast moving. The Council seeks a leader with a can do attitude to manage and drive a very busy central team that delivers a range of regulatory and enforcement functions.
You will be responsible for the leadership and management of a range of Community Protection services, ensuring robust multi agency, cross partnership and neighbourhood focused delivery to deliver strong communities in a clean, safe environment. You will have responsibility for the regulation and enforcement of neighbourhood issues including: anti-social behaviour, environmental crime, statutory nuisance, private sector housing and selective licensing.
Applications from Women, people from Black and Minority Ethnic Communities and Disabled People are welcomed as under-representation currently exists at this level within the organisation. Section 159 of the Equality Act 2010 applies.
In order to support the Council's requirement to save a further GBP 41 million from its budget, by collective agreement, from 1st April 2017 to 31st March 2020 there is a temporary 1.15% pay reduction from the advertised substantive salary quoted, which will be spread out by means of a weekly/monthly deduction (dependent on pay frequency) from each pay period over the full financial year. In recognition of implementing this temporary measure three additional day's leave (pro rata for part time workers and new starters in year) will be granted.
