Environmental Health Team Leader
A fantastic opportunity has opened up with one of my clients based in the Lancashire area, where they are actively seeking to recruit an Environmental Health Team Leader, to assist their busy team for an initial 3 month contract.
About the Role:
In the role you will you’ll be overseeing both the Environmental Protection and the Private Sector Housing teams, so a strong housing and management background is required as you’ll be overseeing a team of 6 officers.
You will also be required to have knowledge of:
- HMO licenses, enforcement and prosecutions.
- HHSRS and housing inspections.
- All areas of pollution including land contamination and air quality but this role will have an emphasis on noise and stat nuisance
- Ensuring targets are hit and standards are maintained
The rates have been left open to negotiation but we could expect around £35-£40 an hour, this role is likely to be deemed inside of IR35. There is the possibility of flexible working i.e. 3 days in the office and a couple from home.
They are looking for someone to start sooner rather than later but would wait for the right person.
They are looking for a fully qualified EHO so being EHORB registered is essential for this position. Having a knowledge of current Housing legislation is also essential.
