Environmental Health Officer

A fantastic opportunity has opened up with one of my clients based in Northamptonshire area, where they are actively seeking to recruit a Food Safety Officer, to assist their busy team for an initial 3 months.

About the Role:

The role will see you take on a case load of Class A-E food hygiene inspections still outstanding at the Council. This will require you to undertake site visits and inspections of food premises, serve and enforce notices where necessary and provide advice and training for improving their standards.

The contract on offer is for an initial 3 months but be extended beyond this depending on the level of work. There is some scope for flexible working but more of an office presence is preferred.

The rates have been left open to negotiation but we could expect around £33-£35 an hour LTD, this role is likely to be deemed outside of IR35. They are looking for someone to start sooner rather than later but would wait for the right person.

About You:

An up to date knowledge of Food Standards and Food Safety Legislation is essential. You will also be required to have a qualification at degree level or equivalent professional qualification in Environmental Health, or in Food Safety and Food Standards. Either EHORB registration or a Higher Certificate in Food Control/Safety is also an essential.
