Based at our newly refurbished office in Worksop, we are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join the Council’s small but friendly Neighbourhood Team based within Environmental Health. POLLUTION OFFICER

Full-time 37 hours per week, permanent

Salary Scale S02-P030 i.e £29,636 - £32,878 per annum (subject to Job Evaluation)

As a key member of staff, you will be responsible for a range of disciplines across the remit of pollution control. This will include the monitoring of local air quality, contaminated land, investigation of industrial noise complaints, sampling of private water supplies and the regulations of prescribed processes under the Environmental Permitting regime. You will also be required to work closely with the team investigating environmental crime.

Applicants will be educated to a Degree level in a relevant discipline e.g. Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering. Therefore, a good rounded knowledge of environmental legislation and processes relating to air quality will be essential. You must also have strong communication skills with a desire to solve problems.
