We are looking for a dynamic individual who can respond to the challenges of the green agenda, the unfolding national waste strategy and the development of sport in the district. You will lead on the management and delivery of the following: Waste Management & Street Cleaning, Environmental Health, Parks & Open Spaces and Active Communities.

You will hold a recognised relevant professional qualification with a proven track record in managing successfully and delivering sustained improvements in a relevant service area. With a sound understanding of strategy development and experience in service planning and budget management, you will also have proven experience of working successfully with elected members to deliver quality services.

As Head of Service, you will be a key member of the Council’s corporate management team, it is therefore essential that you are a good team player with a one-team ethos. We are looking for an innovative and positive individual, with good people skills, who can drive change and help the Council achieve our strategic and corporate objectives.
