Working within the Council’s Environmental Health Team covering a host of major East Coast Resorts and rural countryside you will primarily be responsible for environmental protection; experience in other areas of Environmental Health would be a distinct advantage. There will also be opportunity to expand your skill-base into other areas of environmental health work. This is an exciting and varied role in one or the largest UK Districts, ideal for someone wishing to broaden their experience.
We are seeking a motivated individual with good, technical working knowledge and experience of the Environment Health, specifically environmental protection / nuisance investigation.
We are looking for a qualified Environmental Health Officer with EHORB Registration. Having achieved and maintained Chartered Status would be an advantage (and will be a governing factor in salary progression). Alternatively you could be working towards Chartered Status and be looking to broaden your area of expertise within the Environmental Health field. You will possess good investigatory and problem solving skills and the ability to communicate effectively.
Experience in local government is advantageous although not essential.
For an informal discussion about the post please contact David Dodds, Environmental Health Manager, on (01507) 613497.
