The Environmental Health team is part of the Community Cohesion service which is responsible for the delivery of a wide range of the Council’s regulatory functions in relation to Environmental Health and Community Safety.

As a member of a busy Environmental Health team, you will be required to take a lead role in dealing with food safety & standards inspections including approved premises, food sampling, accident investigations and Infectious disease control.  You may also be required to provide support in relation to other environmental health work including environmental protection, responding to planning and licensing consultations, nuisance, environmental crime, emergency planning and primary authority.

Providing a high quality service in a professional manner and ensuring continuous improvement of the service and delivery.

You must hold a degree or diploma in Environmental Health and EHRB registration or equivalent, with at least three years’ experience and be able to show continuing professional development (CPD) in line with Food Law Code of Practice (FLCoP). In addition you must be able to demonstrate experience in the wider environmental health disciplines. You must have a full Driving licence and car available for work or equivalent mobility.
