Motivated by variety? Excited by opportunity? Fancy a challenge?
Do you hold a BSc/MSc in Environmental Health, with practical experience in Food, Housing or Health and Safety? Our multidisciplinary team is looking for a new member capable of becoming a master across environmental health disciplines from approved food premises to HMO licensing, skin piercing to infectious diseases and selective licensing to workplace health and safety.
At Oadby and Wigston Borough Council you can expect to be involved in a variety of issues and help in some of the most deprived areas of housing.
Providing Environmental Health advice and assistance to colleagues in other service areas and interacting with other agencies and the wider public, you will build relationships to improve the environment through the application of environmental health best practice. You will have excellent communication skills, and have the ability to analyse and interpret legislation and enforce it in a balanced way.
The successful applicant will be required to undertake a Basic Level Disclosure & Barring Service Check.
We offer free on site car parking, flexible working hours, homeworking, and a generous leave package.
