Food safety will be a key aspect of your varied workload as well as covering health & safety and infectious disease control. You will also be involved in a wide range of investigations and inspections within the City Council’s area supported by your Team colleagues.
Applicants will already have a Degree or Diploma in Environmental Health and/ or the Higher Certificate in Food Control with the Food Inspection endorsement and Certificate of Registration of the Environmental Health Registration Board.
You will join us with the ability to interpret and apply legislation, communicate well at all levels, prepare and write reports and be able to present facts and negotiate in a balanced manner. As an Environmental Health Officer you will have experience of working with the public, carrying out investigations and inspections and in-depth knowledge of current legislation in food hygiene and health and safety law.
