Job Details

You will have responsibility to manage the delivery of a range of our client's environmental services contracts. On a regular basis you will be required to report on and monitor contractor/ consultant performance and manage any issues of under-performance. You will work to ensure contracted work is compliant with professional standards and meets contract specifications.

As required you will undertake negotiations as directed by, or in conjunction with other departments who are using the specific contracted services in question and you will advise on and assist with implementing and changes including variations and extensions. You will be expected to produce and deliver clear reports (written and verbal) relating to the contract for a variety of audiences at all levels, including boards and working groups.

To apply for this role you will need a good understanding of local authority contracting procedures. Ideally you will have a knowledge of typical services that fall under environmental services although consideration will be given to those with experience in other areas. You will need good negotiation skills, a keen eye for detail and the ability to act quickly to highlight and resolve any issues.

The role is based in Cambridge, will run 3-6 months to start with, probably longer, and pay around £21-£25/hr (umbrella) depending on your level of experience.
