£30,435 a year - Band 6

Full-time – 37 hours

FTC to end March 2021

We are looking for an experienced Environmental professional who is able to provide professional specialist advice and support to ensure compliance with legislation, professional codes of practice and adherence to policy.

On a day to day basis, your responsibilities will include responding to and investigating reports of nuisance, carrying out monitoring and investigations, taking enforcement action where appropriate and provide some training/mentoring of other staff on this and other aspects of EH work.

You will also be required to work with our planning department, providing consultee advice on planning applications.

Ideally you will have attained a qualification in Environmental Health or a scientific discipline or have extensive, demonstrable and relevant experience. Membership of a relevant professional body or working towards membership is desirable.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential as is the ability to collect, analyse and interpret data. 

It is essential you have a driving licence and be able to travel to and from site.
