Food Safety Officer

Our client in Kent is recruiting for Officer(s) to undertake inspections of approximately 150 category C-E food premises inspections that require completion before 31st October 2019.  

The inspecting officers must hold one of the baseline qualifications and have associated registration. The baseline qualifications are Higher Certificate in Food Control or certificate of registration or Diploma issued by the Environmental Health Registration Board.

The Inspecting Officers must be able to demonstrate how they are capable of meeting the competencies relating to Inspection of Food Establishments (Cluster 4.) and hold 10 CPD hours on core food matters directly related to the delivery of official controls and 10 hours on other professional matters. This could include training needs identified by the Lead Food Officer during competency assessments/appraisals as specified in the current version of the Food Law Code of Practice and Practice Guidance.

A copy of relevant qualifications, CPD certificates and certificates of registration with EHORB/EHRB must be held on file by Buckingham Futures before the contract commences.

NB - our client will consider splitting the project and will consider officers who could commit to a minimum of 50 inspections.
