Environmental Health Officer / Private Sector Housing Officer

Working on behalf of a Local Authority in South West England, Buckingham Futures have an excellent opportunity for an Environmental Health Officer (Private Sector Housing) to deal with the full range of private-sector housing issues including complaint investigation, hazard and nuisance resolution, HMO licensing and proactive inspections.

You will need to demonstrate recent experience of housing inspection, enforcement and grant work. In particular, you must demonstrate that you can inspect residential property to assess and report on its condition, that you can identify and assess hazards using HHSRS and recommend appropriate remedial action and that you are familiar with relevant legislation.

You must be a good communicator and committed to improving housing conditions as key member of a busy team.
