Our client, based in East Anglia are looking for an experienced Environmental Protection Officer. The work will be mainly involve responding to service requests around nuisance work - noise, bonfires, odours etc. in addition to dealing with other public health type service requests e.g. rodent investigations/ filthy and verminous.

Our client requires an officer with excellent communication and negotiation skills to seek a resolution between parties making a complaint and those being complained about. It would be preferable if you also have had experience in serving Notices and enforcement action too. It would be a bonus (but not essential) if you have experience of dealing with planning consultations / licensing consultations . You would need to provide a car for the work but would receive a mileage allowance.

This is a 3 month contract, starting immediately but it likely to be extended. Rates will be from £28 per hour and can be negotiated.
