The Environmental Health Service plays an important part in delivering this vision.

We are looking to fill a post in our Environmental Protection and Housing Team. The role will focus primarily on responding to planning and licensing consultations and the investigation of nuisances. There will also be opportunities to undertake some housing work.  Applications from anyone with experience in either environmental protection or housing would be welcomed. . We also have responsibilities for a number of major events in the district, including festivals at Knebworth Park. You will be required to participate on the noise call-out rota which currently operates at the weekends during the months of April to September.

You must have a recognised qualification in Environmental Health and hold the EHRB Certificate of Registration or be committed to achieving the Certificate of Registration with six months of appointment. We particularly welcome applications from those who have relevant knowledge and experience particularly in respect of responding to planning and licensing consultations and nuisance investigations,  excellent communication skills and the enthusiasm for and commitment to making a difference in North Hertfordshire.
