The Environmental Health team is part of the Communities and Neighbourhoods service which is responsible for the delivery of a wide range of the Council’s regulatory functions in relation to Environmental Health, Trading Standards, Licensing and Community Safety.
As the team leader of a busy Environmental Health team, you will have responsibility for managing, controlling and directing staff within the Environmental Health (Domestic) team on a day to day basis including:
Providing the professional expertise necessary to effectively carry out duties of an Environmental Health team for all services for which you have responsibility including but not restricted to Statutory Nuisance and Public Health matters, Housing, Environmental Crime including litter, dog control, public burials and other Environmental Health functions.
Providing a high quality service in a professional manner and ensuring continuous improvement of the service and delivery.
You must hold a degree or diploma in Environmental Health and EHRB registration or equivalent, with at least five years’ experience working in an environmental health field. You must be able to show continuing professional development (CPD). In addition you must be able to demonstrate experience in the wider Environmental Health disciplines. You must have a full driving licence and car available for work.
