Two new management opportunities have arisen in a growing Food, Health & Safety Team within our Community Safety, Compliance & Enforcement Department. The roles will suit enthusiastic and hardworking individuals looking for a new challenge in a friendly team of dedicated EHO’s and Food Safety Officers.

You will be responsible for line management of officers working across a range of functions including Food Safety and Health and Safety, managing large programmes of work including delivery of the food hygiene inspection programme, and developing projects to deal with emerging issues.  We want to further strengthen our approach to food hygiene but also grow our focus on allergen controls, food standards, health and safety at work and supporting business. You may also have management responsibilities relating to Port Health at our busy Border Inspection Post located at Manchester Airport.

You will be passionate about protecting the public, hold relevant experience and be committed to your own development as well as the development of your team.   You will have strong decision making skills, be able to work under pressure and know how to build effective working relationships with colleagues and partners.

Manchester is a vibrant place to live and work with world renowned cultural and sporting venues and excellent transport links and housing options. Manchester is a City that is driving forward and its economy and population are continuing to grow.  We are an organisation looking to build on your strengths, offering an individual development pathway to help you achieve your aspirations.
