Job Details


Our client in East London have an excellent opportunity for those who are looking for long term contracts. They require a qualified Environmental Health Officer to undertake a role in their Selective Licensing Team. You will be required to prepare and serve Statutory Notices and take enforcement action in line with the Councils strategy and on a regular basis you will be required to report and/or advise where statutory action is not appropriate and to initiate prosecutions for failure to comply with statutory instruments.

To apply for this role you will need to have significant work experience in the field and an excellent working knowledge of current legislation relevant to work in this profession. You will need to be able to confidently and competently manage a busy case load and make informed decisions on action to be taken; good communication skills are essential. The suitable person would be an experienced and competent environmental health officer specializing in housing and public health, can drive, and access to own car.

This contract will see you to the end of the year and may possibly be extended further. They require someone to start 22nd July.
