This role sits within a Housing Enforcement team that also covers some EP activity. You will carry out public health complaint investigations and take enforcement action where necessary. You will carry out some noise related activity with a focus on residential work. The main focus of the role will be carrying out inspections of HMOs and responding to complaints of disrepair in privately rented accommodation. As required you will prepare, serve and enforce statutory notices within delegated responsibilities and attend court where necessary.

To be considered for this role you will need a strong background in housing related enforcement work with a good knowledge of the Environmental Protection Act 1990, Control of Pollution Act 1974 and the Noise and Statutory Nuisance Act 1993. You will need a good knowledge of dealing with complaints and undertaking enforcement action.

The role is based in SE London and will pay up to £35/hr. We expect the initial contract will be 3-6 months and you will be required to work full time hours.
