Use your expertise in a new way to become a part-time judge
If you’re a Member of the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH) there are some great opportunities to become a part-time judge.
The First-tier Tribunal, Property Chamber is seeking CIEH Members to sit as fee-paid Professional Members.
The First-tier Tribunal, Property Chamber handles applications, appeals and references about disputes over property and land.
As a Professional Member you will use your and expertise in housing, housing conditions or matters relating to landlord and tenant relationships to help the tribunal reach a fair decision.
You can apply if you’re a CIEH Member with 4 years substantial housing experience. You don’t need any judicial experience to apply.
Professional Tribunal Members are expected to sit for a minimum of 30 days a year. There are: 7 vacancies in London, 2 in the Midlands and 2 in the South East.
Fee: £313.20 a day
