My client is a leading supplier of consultancy services covering Food Safety, Health and Safety and Fire Safety.  They are based in the South UK and are looking for a Consultant to join them on a full-time basis covering the UK. This is a work from home position with regular travel across the UK and overnight stays.

 

The main duties of the role would be to provide high-quality food safety, health and safety and fire safety audit including advice and guidance both face to face and over the phone.  Training is also an important element of the role in all areas.

 

They are looking for someone who can research technical challenges to gain the best and most effective outcome, and someone with excellent combination skills, time management skills and someone able to respond to clients’ needs at short notice

 

Skills and Qualifications:

The following skills are considered essential to the role:

·  Excellent written and spoken English;

·  Good keyboard skills, proficient with Microsoft Office applications, and the ability to competently adapt to     the use of a variety of software solutions;

·  An excellent level of up to date knowledge of Food Safety and Health & Safety legislation.

·  A full driving licence.

 

In addition to a good general level of education the consultant will be:

· An EHRB registered environmental health practitioner; or

· IOSH chartered safety and health practitioner with a minimum of a level 4 food safety qualification.

 

· Applicants with Grad IOSH working towards CMIOSH will be considered, especially if they have consultancy experience in the relevant sector.

       

The ideal candidate will be someone who has at least 2 years post qualification consultancy experience in the leisure and hospitality sector.
