Senior Environmental Health Officer

£34,788 - £36,876 per annum

About the role

As a senior environmental health officer, you will carry out a full range of environmental protection duties as required. These duties will be carried out both within the specific responsibilities of the team and from time to time across the wider public protection service

You will be responsible for a range of environmental control and protection work in a geographic district including nuisance investigations, private water supplies, drainage, noise, planning and licensing consultations.

About you

A degree in environmental health and evidenced specialist knowledge and work responsibilities appropriate to the role is essential to be able enforce public protection legislations. You should be able to manage a busy work load and have excellent communication skills, with the ability to diffuse difficult situations.

The possession of an additional qualification, such as an acoustics diploma or equivalent, would be advantageous.
