About the job

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Environmental Health Officer to join our Imported Food Team at London Heathrow Airport. The successful candidate will be responsible for enforcing European and Domestic import legislation by means of enforcement, advice and education.

Heathrow Airport operates a service 24 hours a day 7 days a week and the team is responsible for checking and sampling food products that have been imported into the UK through Heathrow Airport.

Full training will be provided on imported controls.

About the person

Excellent communication skills and experience of providing good customer care are essential. You will be expected to provide advice and information to service users and other local authorities and liaise with government departments such as the Food Standards Agency and UK Border Force.
