Role Purpose
The post holder will be responsible for managing the Environmental Protection Team. The scope of the Team includes reactive and proactive noise and vibration matters in relation to residential and commercial property, planning applications and acting as the responsible authority in relation to licensing concerns.
The post holder will also contribute to setting up and overseeing the proposed out of hours service in relation to Environmental Health. This new service will cover all Environmental Health issues that need to be addressed outside normal working hours.
The post holder will liaise with internal and external parties to ensure that a holistic approach is taken with regards to Environmental Health within its broadest sense across all work programmes.
The successful candidate will also assist with the mentoring of other staff across the Service.
Key Responsibilities
To deliver on the agreed service level agreements with external/internal parties and to deliver on those agreed action plans.
To advise and mentor staff within in Team and across the Environmental Health and Trading Standards Service.
Requirements
The successful individual will be an Environmental Health Practitioner registered with in Chartered Institute of Environmental (or equivalent) and have extensive experience across Environmental Health, ideally as a manager or a supervisor.
