Community Protection Officer
Environmental Services, Licensing and Community Safety
Full time – 37 hours per week, Permanent Contract
Salary range: £25,732 - £33,247 per annum + £2,907 Car Allowance per annum
Starting salary dependent on qualifications, EHORB registration or Chartered Membership of CIEH and any relevant experience
An opportunity to work in the AONB of the Weald of Sussex, for the shared environmental health service for Rother and Wealden, the main towns being Bexhill-on-Sea, Crowborough, Hailsham, Rye and Uckfield.
We are looking to appoint an experienced and qualified Community Protection Officer to support our Community Protection Team. The work is mainly to deal with community safety and environmental protection but there is an expectation that the Officer will work across the full range of functions in environmental health and licensing.
The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, a strong team player but also able to work on their own initiative, self-motivated and committed to the protection of public health and safety and to their own personal career development.
Occasional evening and weekend work is expected, as well as participation in the weekend emergency rota and summer noise patrol.
