The Role

We have been successful in securing funding through the MHCLG Controlling Migration Fund. We are seeking an operations manager to lead on delivering the project objectives of addressing rogue landlords and letting agents within Camden exploiting migrant tenants living in unlicensed and dangerous HMOs. The role will require you to manage a small multi-disciplinary team of staff, leading on monitoring progress and reporting outcomes. The role will require you to lead on case investigations, serve notices, take prosecutions and other high level interventions and provide professional advice and guidance to officers, members and other services, ensuring the delivery of the project outcomes.
This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and will require an Enhanced DBS.
About you
To be considered for this vacancy it is essential for the post holder to hold BSc/MSc or Diploma in Environmental Health and hold the EHRB certificate of registration in Environmental Health. The successful candidate will possess excellent working knowledge/understanding of the legislative framework in relation to Private Sector Housing and experience in its application to casework. You will be able to demonstrate your involvement in managing, organising and coordinating cross-service projects, and identify how this has led to a successful outcome. The ideal candidate will have an organised approach to their own workload whilst dealing with conflicting priorities and a focus on delivering excellent customer service alongside extensive experience of working collaboratively with internal and external partners to identify innovative and creative approaches to the project objectives.
