Job Details
Our client, based in the East Midlands are looking for an Environmental Protection Manager to act as the senior technical and scientific advisor to the Council on environmental protection matters. You will be Responsible for the day-to-day operational management of the Environmental Protection Team and development of services including local air quality management, authorisation of prescribed processes, environmental noise control, implementation of the contaminated land regime, statutory nuisances, radiation, travellers, drainage and response to emergency incidents.
The successful candidate will have Diploma or Degree in Environmental Health, sound up to date knowledge of relevant legislation and its practical implementation and significant experience of managing staff within a multi-disciplinary team.
If successful you will be offered an initial 3 month contract (however the manager believes this will be extended) paying £300-£350 LTD per day.
