 Your new role 
The council is currently seeking to appoint three Private Sector Housing Enforcement Officers who are enthusiastic and competent individuals to carry out routine inspections, assessments and enforcement as necessary in dwellings both singly and multi-occupied. You will need to ensure that private sector homes are safe, secure and healthy for their residents and their accommodation. 
The key responsibilities in these positions will be to undertake inspection, surveys and other investigations of residential properties in the private sector under housing and related legislation. In addition you will need to undertake investigations and enquiries, produce reports, work schedules and correspondence as required. 

What you'll need to succeed 
 The successful candidates will have appropriate training to HHSRS assessor standard and relevant experience in both inspection and enforcement options including appearance at court and tribunal. To undertake the full range of duties, you need to either be an Environmental Health Practitioner or Private Sector Housing Enforcement Officer within a Private Sector Housing Section.
