Area Environmental Health Officer

Grade: SO1- POA

Salary: £26,999 - £34,788 per annum

Hours: 37 per week

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic individual to join our busy Private Sector Housing Team.

 A strong team player, with a genuine interest in housing conditions you will contribute to the efficient and effective performance of the Team. You will deal with the full range of housing matters including responding to enquiries and complaints, carrying out investigations and inspections of Private Sector housing, including Houses in Multiple Occupation and HMO Licensing, serve notices and take other enforcement action where necessary. You will also deal with complaints of harassment and illegal eviction under the provisions the Protection from Eviction Act 1977 and F&Vs.  

Applicants will have a degree in Environmental Health and be EHORB registered or equivalent.  For qualified experienced officers there maybe the opportunity to train for additional qualifications.   Also consideration will be given to those who will complete the process of registering, within the next 6 months following qualification.  Until registration is obtained applicants will be employed as a Technical Officer.
