DO YOU...
- Want a new and exciting challenge?
- Enjoy working in a busy and forward-thinking environment?
- Have a passion for people and customers?
- Get out of bed each day motivated and determined to make a positive difference?
- Want to contribute to service and corporate development projects?
Then this could be just what you are looking for…
You will be working in one of the most vibrant economies in the UK. With an ambitious growth programme, Huntingdonshire’s historic market towns are nestled between the internationally renowned innovation hub of Cambridge and the eco-cluster of Peterborough. With an ambitious vision to change the way we work in line with our corporate values inspiring, collaborative, accountable, respectful and enterprising.
We are seeking applications from officers who are competent to undertake official controls as part of a team dealing with food, health and safety, infectious disease control, health promotion and training. You will have the opportunity to develop our Better Business for All programme, expanding our primary authority role and contributing to cross-service work as well as the wider corporate agenda. In taking on this exciting role you will be part of a team working to deliver services in a truly transformational way to meet the challenges of the Council’s Corporate Plan, and making the District a safe place to work, live and visit. A District where you will help create the level playing field in which business can thrive.
In return, you can expect to work as part of a strong team, receive regular professional supervision and have access to quality training, developing your interests, expanding your knowledge and becoming an expert at what you do. You will be supported by an outward looking leadership team who can, and do, draw on a wide range of professional and specialist support to ensure excellence across the service.
This is a fantastic opportunity for career minded individuals to take a pro-active role, expanding and developing your skills, within a high performing local authority.
Huntingdonshire District Council’s ambition is to be an employer of choice, a high performing Council and a learning organisation. This includes being committed to providing an employee reward and benefits package which will attract, retain, motivate and reward our employees.
