Environmental Health Officer / EHP

Buckingham Futures have taken on an excellent position in Hampshire (with opportunities to work remotely) for a part time Environmental Health Officer / EHP to inspect industrial, commercial and domestic premises and land, including operations and systems to enforce the relevant legislation relating to Environmental Protection.

This includes matters relating to noise, air pollution, radiation, land pollution, water pollution, drinking water quality, drainage and statutory nuisances.

This is a fixed term contract for 12 months (maternity cover)  starting 1st April 2019.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience:

A degree in Environmental Health or equivalent qualification

Registration with the Environmental Health Officers Registration Board (EHORB).

Graduate or Corporate membership of the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health and able to meet the Institute's requirements for continuing professional development.

Sound knowledge of environmental protection law and practice.

Full driving licence and use of a vehicle.

Practical experience and/or qualified in acoustics and noise control. Acoustics and Noise Control Certificate or Diploma (desirable)

Excellent communication skills and the ability to prioritise workloads to meet deadlines.
