Bassetlaw is an attractive District and lies in the North of Nottinghamshire comprising three towns of Worksop, Retford and Harworth. This has given us the opportunity to create three exciting opportunities in the Council’s Environmental Health team. We are looking for individuals who are enthusiastic, committed and motivated officers who will be based at our newly refurbished office in Worksop. Full Time Environmental Health Officer: Commercial NBH1040P

Salary: SO2 - PO36 £29,055 - £32,233 (Subject to Job Evaluation)

 We are looking for a professionally qualified and skilled officer who has current food experience, is competent, confident and enthusiastic to fill the post of Environmental Health Officer. The post is based within a small busy team covering a wide variety of work, including inspections of a full range of food premises including large manufacturers and approved premises. The role also includes the investigation of complaints, infectious diseases, accidents, health and safety complaints and licensing visits in relation to animal establishments and special treatments.

Full Time Environmental Health Officer: Pollution NBH1041P

Salary: SO2 - PO36 £29,055 - £32,233 (Subject to Job Evaluation)

 We are looking for a professionally qualified, motivated, experienced officer to work within the Neighbourhood Team of Environmental Health. The post covers primarily environmental permitting, air quality, private water supplies, contaminated land/planning consultations and industrial noise complaints.

Full Time Technical Officer/Senior Technical Officer Neighbourhood Team NBH0180P

Salary: Scale 4-6 £18,870 - £25,463 (Subject to Job Evaluation)

This post is based within a small busy team covering a wide variety of work including the investigation of fly tipping incidents, residential noise complaints, certain environmental crimes, hoarding and verminous premises and other neighbourhood complaints.
