Brief Description of Post

Are you a talented Environmental Health Officer who is looking for an exciting challenge?  If so, one of the roles within Shared Regulatory Services could be right for you!

We are a forward-thinking Authority that is ambitious, innovative and works as a team to deliver services. You will be expected to manage your own workload and will benefit from flexible working arrangements and the ability to work in an agile manner.

You will be based within our busy Regional Communicable Disease, Health and Safety Team which will provide you with the opportunity to engage with a wide range of stakeholders and deal with a diverse mix of challenges.  We are looking for someone with the right approach and enthusiasm to deliver excellent services and would welcome applications from fully qualified officers to join our team.  You will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of reactive work, as well as having an opportunity to develop, and implement, a range of proactive project-based interventions.

The successful candidates will have the ability and drive to provide a customer focused, responsive, risk based, effective and professional service. Key requirements include very effective communication and team working skills, the ability and motivation to solve problems, personal credibility and an approach that builds rapport and confidence from customers.

Shared Regulatory Services (SRS) is a collaborative service formed between Bridgend, Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan Councils on 1^st May 2015.  The Service delivers a fully integrated service under a single management structure for Trading Standards, Environmental Health and Licensing functions
