Job Details

Our client, based in London is looking for an experienced Noise Officer to lead and take personal responsibility for a full range of EH consultation responses to planning applications. Your focus will be on Noise including an understanding of Nuisance/Contaminated Land (Environmental Protection Act 1990), Control of Pollution Act 1974 as well as all relevant British Standards and Town Planning legislation. You will also be responsible for analysis of acoustic reports and hold a specialist acoustic qualification to demonstrate competence in this area.

The post holder will prepare appropriate specifications and reports to planning based on the council's planning conditions. You would be required to attend regular planning surgeries, site visits and prepare reports and attend planning committee. This may involve some evening work by prior arrangement. To demonstrate and have experience of using database/Microsoft office to record activities. Flare/Civica experience is desirable.

They are looking for a suitably qualified and experienced candidate in the Environmental Health field. We will require BSc/Diploma in Environmental Health or Acoustics or similar qualification.

This contract is initially for a 3 month period and will be reviewed thereafter. Please note that the rate is negotiable and will depend on experience/qualifications.
