The higher salary range can be awarded to candidates who are able to demonstrate extensive experience within Environmental Health and managing a regulatory team.

This is an exciting opportunity to come and work for the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead in a challenging and busy Residential Services team.

We are on a journey to transform the Residential Services team, having an opportunity to recruit talented and ambitious people to create a high performing team ensuring that resident’s health, safety and welfare is safeguarded and protected.

We are looking for experienced, enthusiastic and self-motivated people to fulfil senior positions within the team. You will provide the day-to-day leadership of the service and motivation and technical support to the residential services team. You will provide advice and guidance, training other team members and supporting colleagues with complex cases.

Permanent Role:

The role will be varied, covering an interesting workload and all aspects of private sector housing, public health investigations including pest, drainage and filthy and verminous cases, caravan site licensing and mandatory and discretionary grant aid including disabled facility grants.

Fixed Term Role:

As part of the Council’s ambitious plans a fixed term team has also being created to primarily focus on the implementation and extension of the HMO licensing regime, proactive and reactive HMO inspections and addressing the current housing cases known to the service.

Your role will be to provide the day-to-day leadership of the service, providing motivation and technical support, advice and guidance to these functions.

If you are able to demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills, be able to organise and prioritise your own workload and have good IT skills and are keen to make a difference to our residents and your team, we would like to hear from you. In return we provide a real commitment to personal development and growth.

You will possess a degree in an environmental health, housing or building discipline (or an equivalent qualification) and have proven experience of environmental health and housing work. EHORB registration and voting membership of the CIEH are desirable but not essential.

A full driving licence and use of a car is essential for all posts.
