Benefits and Allowances
Amount of the bursary will be £10,000 per annum. Relevant training courses and travel allowance within the Borough will be paid.
Role Purpose
This position will enable the successful candidates to complete their professional examinations with the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (or equivalent) to enable them to attain the certificate of registration.
The bursary is aimed at those candidates that are undertaking a Degree/Masters Degree in Environmental Health, Higher Certificate in Food Premises Inspection or Higher Certificate in Food Control.
Key Responsibilities
To gain experiences within the Environmental Health Service at the London Borough of Tower Hamlets, enabling the candidate to submit their learning portfolio and undertake their professional interviews/examinations.
Requirements
The successful candidate will have completed their MSc or BSc (Hons) in Environmental Health or will be in the process of completing their final year.
These positions are also open for candidates that have completed the Higher Certificate in Food Premises Inspection or Higher Certificate in Food Control and are required to complete their professional examinations/portfolio.
Additional Information
The successful candidates will gain experiences across the breadth of Environmental Health and will be associated with the department for a period of 12 months.
The objective of these Bursaries is to enable the candidate to apply be fully qualified as an Environmental Health Practitioner or Food Safety Officer.
