Environmental Health Enforcement Officer (Contaminated Land Lead)

Salary: LBR 10 £34,113 to 35,992 per annum 

Appointment: Permanent, Part time, pro-rata 4 days (28.48 hours) per week 

We are looking for keen, enthusiastic, and suitably qualified and experienced Contaminated Land Officer, who will complement and add value to our existing skilled workforce.  

The Environmental Health Group is part of the Licensing and Consumer Protection Service of Civic Pride.  

As the Contaminated Lead Officer, you will be responsible for Investigating and assesses land contamination issues and developing policies relating to land contamination. You will be the first point of contact for Council information relating to historical industrial land uses and land contamination issues within the Borough. 

You will have a degree in Environmental Health or be suitably qualified in a science or environmental geology field. Experience of working with geographic information systems software and a detailed knowledge of contaminated land including an understanding of legislation, risk assessment, best practice, instrumentation, monitoring techniques, principles and procedures is required. 

Redbridge operates flexible working and the post includes a car allowance.
