We are looking for an enthusiastic and flexible Environmental Health Officer to work in our Environmental Protection Team for 26 hours per week, preferably over 4 days.

The Environmental Health Service undertakes a range of traditional Environmental Health (EH) duties but the services remit also includes a number of non EH functions such as civil contingencies, land drainage, resorts and port Services. 

The role includes undertaking pollution control duties and, as the need arises, assisting the land drainage function, the port function and the resorts service. 

The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience in environmental protection work, such as nuisance, contaminated land, environmental permitting, pest control, dog control and drainage. Additional experience in any of the non-EH functions listed above would be advantage.

You will be required to take part in the Environmental Health out of hours rota

The post attracts an essential user car allowance and payment of professional fees.
