Grade: SM2 - £43,757 to £44,697 per year

We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic and ambitious professional to Head the Regulatory Services Unit comprising:

  • Licensing (including licensed premises, gambling, Taxi/PHV and animal welfare)
  • Corporate safety (including emergency and civil contingency planning and out of hours service)
  • Workplace health and safety
  • Food safety
  • Community Support (including pest control, dog control and envirocrime)
  • Registration of skin piercing and tattooing premises and persons
  • Infectious disease control.

You will need to demonstrate significant experience of working in at least one of the regulatory services with a track record in undertaking complex enforcement investigations leading to successful prosecutions.

You will be the Council’s lead on providing high quality professional advice on regulatory services, an inspirational manager and leader of colleagues and be confident enough to challenge and improve the Council’s strategies, policies and plans for your services.
