Help us make Gloucester a City that Works for Everyone

Community Wellbeing Manager (£38,052- £46,472)

Gloucester is an ambitious city where history is still being made. An unprecedented level of regeneration in past decade has seen in excess of £750m invested in the city and there is more to come. Over the next 5 years, we will lead the way in redefining the role of the city centre, provide more homes, jobs and leisure opportunities for residents, communities, our growing student population and visitors.

The City boasts strong and diverse communities and we are driving the development of community facilities, affordable housing, and support to the most vulnerable residents in partnership with the County Council, Police, Health and the VCS. We are becoming a leader in strengths based approaches, helping communities to recognise and use the assets they have to build strong, inclusive and welcoming neighbourhoods.

We are looking for a passionate individual who can inspire and manage our Community Wellbeing Team. You will be managing a team of professionals dealing with partnerships, engagement, anti-social behaviour and environmental health. As a Service Manager, you will contribute to shaping our on-going transformation to become a modern and commercially aware council where most customers will engage with us on-line, so we can better support those who need face to face contact.

We offer a flexible, supportive and agile working environment, plenty of opportunities for learning and development and a wide range of staff well-being benefits.

For an informal discussion please contact Ruth Saunders, Head of Communities, on 01452 396789. Details can be found at: https://www.gloucester.gov.uk/jobs-careers/council-vacancies/current-vacancies/

Closing date: Friday 1st February 12noon. Interviews: Friday 15th February.
