Environmental Health Officer
£35,991 pa to £41,847 pa
As part of the Food Safety Team you will be required to inspect food premises for hygiene and standards in keeping with the Food Law Code of Practice and for Health & Safety.
In addition there will be a varied service request work load from ranging fish farming to food poisoning.
Newham is taking a robust stance on Food Safety enforcement and promotes the use of the FHRS scoring scheme. The team is also keen to working in partnership with the business community and has a growing Primary Authority portfolio and works with some high profile companies.
About You
You will be a fully qualified environmental health practitioner who wants a challenge. You will need to be flexible and confident in your skills and be prepared to participate in multi agency work and attend court.
Additional Information
Applicants must be EHRB registered and have relevant experience. CPD and skills development are part of the working development plan.
Newly qualified officer may be considered for one of the posts.
