Salary and Grade G7: £33,810 to £35,910 per annum - (pro rata for part time)
Contract Permanent Hours 18.5 per week Location Oxford - St Aldate's Chambers
The role Oxford City Council is a forward thinking, innovative Local Authority looking for a dynamic, experienced and enthusiastic EHRB registered (or equivalent) Environmental Health Officer to join our demanding Business Regulation Team.
The team deals with a range of Environmental Health regulatory functions in commercial premises. The successful candidate will primarily focus on food safety/health and safety enforcement. This will include delivery of the proactive inspection programmes and food/health and safety projects along with other commercial case work such as infectious disease investigation, nuisance and smoke free enforcement.
You will need to have a range of post qualification experience, including food safety and health and safety enforcement. Good working knowledge of current Environmental Health legislation together with problem solving, analytical and organisational skills are essential. As a confident and insightful communicator, you’ll be comfortable liaising with Councillors, internal and external customers as well as working with other partners to deliver a high quality service.
We are willing to negotiate the core working pattern for this part time post.
