Excellent work life balance scheme

Are you committed to tackling criminal, rogue and irresponsible landlords who knowingly let accommodation that is unlicensed, substandard or dangerous?

Here at Derby we have moved to a more intelligence-led, risk-based, multi-agency approach to housing enforcement and we wish to recruit two Environmental Health Practitioners who are not afraid to make full use of our powers under the Housing Act 2004 and the Housing and Planning Act 2016.

You will be highly-motivated and professional, with the skills and qualities needed to make optimum use of civil penalties, rent repayment orders, banning orders and licensing powers to improve conditions and make a real and lasting difference to people’s lives.

All applicants must have an excellent working knowledge of private sector housing legislation and applicants appointed to the Grade J post will have significant experience and have a proven record in a housing enforcement capacity.

If you would like to join our friendly team and be at the cutting edge of housing enforcement we would be delighted to hear from you.

Closing date: Monday 21 January 2018 at midnight.

Any application forms received after the closing date will not be accepted.
